Description:
yellow suspension with a pleasant odor and characteristic taste, redisperses when shaken.
Pharmachologic effect:
Nise is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) from the sulfonanilide class. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.
Nimesulide belongs to a new generation of NSAIDs, the mechanism of action of which is associated with selective inhibition of cyclooxygenase II and effects on a number of other factors: suppression of platelet activating factor, tumor necrosis factor alpha, suppression of proteinases and histamine.
After oral administration, the drug is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration of the active substance in the blood plasma is achieved 1.5-2.5 hours after taking the drug. Taking the drug simultaneously with food slows down the rate of absorption, but does not affect the degree of binding. Plasma protein binding is 99%, volume of distribution is 0.19 - 0.35 l/kg. Nimesulide is actively metabolized in the liver with the formation of several metabolites, excreted mainly in urine (70%) and feces (30%).
In patients with renal failure (creatinine clearance 1.8 - 4.8 l/h or 30-80 ml/min), as well as in children and the elderly, the pharmacokinetic profile of nimesulide did not change significantly.

The active ingredient of the drug Nise has an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effect.
The drug is effective in processes associated with pain, inflammation and swelling. Nise inhibits platelet aggregation and reduces bronchospasm, which is caused by the action of histamine and acetaldehyde. The drug also has an antioxidant effect and slows down the formation of toxins.
When applied topically, Nise is said to relieve pain and swelling in the joints and reduce morning stiffness.
Directions for use and dosage
The drug in tablet form is used before meals. Dosage for adult patients: morning and evening, 100 mg of the drug. The maximum daily dose is 400 mg.
The drug in the form of dissolving tablets is taken after meals in a dosage of 1 tablet per 1 teaspoon of water.
Children under 2 years of age take Nise in the form of a suspension. Children older than this age - in the form of a suspension or soluble tablets. For older children (over 12 years old), it is prescribed in tablet form.
The dosage is calculated individually for each patient, based on 3-5 mg of the drug per 1 kg of weight. Children who weigh more than 40 kg can take Nise 100 mg in the morning and evening.
The instructions for use indicate that using the drug for more than 10 days is not recommended. Long-term use of any form of Nise must be accompanied by mandatory monitoring of the functional state of the kidneys.
During pregnancy and lactation
Nise is contraindicated for use during pregnancy.
If it is necessary to use the drug during lactation, the issue of stopping breastfeeding should be decided.
Side effects
From the digestive system: heartburn, nausea, stomach pain; in some cases - tarry stools, melena (associated with bleeding and erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract).
From the side of the central nervous system: rarely - headaches, dizziness, drowsiness.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, erythema, urticaria.
Other: rarely - oliguria, fluid retention in the body, local or systemic edema; in some cases - thrombocytopenic purpura.
Overdose
The clinical picture of Nise intoxication depends on the person’s state of health, the number of tablets taken, and pathologies found in him. The following symptoms are typical for an overdose:
- acute pain in the epigastric region, nausea, vomiting (sometimes with blood), indigestion, diarrhea;
- nagging pain in the liver area, bitter taste in the mouth, yellowing of the skin and mucous membranes;
- dizziness, migraines, weakness, apathy, drowsiness;
- bronchospasm, anaphylactic shock.
- swelling localized in various parts of the body.
Nise poisoning in young children occurs due to non-compliance by adults with the rules for storing medicines. The immunity of children is reduced, so taking a small amount of tablets will cause signs of extensive intoxication. If thick gel comes into contact with a child's skin, redness and rashes may occur.
Interaction with alcohol
If compatibility is violated, Nise increases the side effects on the liver, and the development of ulcers is possible. Less common: headache, tinnitus, lethargy. When neglected, it leads to ulceration of the gastric mucosa and bleeding.
Contraindications
- erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract in the acute phase;
- bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract;
- aspirin triad;
- liver dysfunction;
- severe renal failure;
- pregnancy;
- lactation;
- children under 2 years of age;
- hypersensitivity to nimesulide and other components of the drug, acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs.
The drug should be prescribed with caution in case of arterial hypertension, heart failure, and type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin-dependent).
Interaction with other drugs
The drug Nise should not be used simultaneously with Digoxin, Phenytoin or lithium preparations, since under the influence of each other the therapeutic effect of the drugs is reduced.
When using this drug simultaneously with hypoglycemic agents, patients should constantly monitor their blood sugar levels, and the dose of the latter may need to be adjusted.
When using the drug with antihypertensive drugs, the patient's blood pressure may significantly decrease, so this drug interaction is undesirable.
Nise should not be used simultaneously with anticoagulants, as this increases the risk of internal bleeding. The same applies to drugs from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - their use in combination with Nise is not recommended.
Price
Nise tablets 100 mg, 20 pcs. 185 rub.
Analogues
Everyone who buys this medicine at the pharmacy wants to know which analogues of Nise are in the “cheaper” category. There is a list of medicinal products that are similar in their action and properties to Nise tablets, and the price category is slightly lower.
The list of analogues of Nise tablets includes a lot of medications.
But, please note, this product is just an analogue of Nise.
Anti-inflammatory analgesics sometimes have to be taken in long courses, so doctors advise choosing the safest and most effective drugs. The group of such drugs includes Nise, an effective pain reliever that rarely causes negative side effects. Before using it, it is important to carefully study the instructions.
Nise - tablet composition
The active ingredient of the described medication is nimesulide in an amount of 100 mg per pill. This substance is a non-steroidal chemical compound from the sulfonanilide group. It inhibits the production of enzymes that are involved in the synthesis of mediators of pain, swelling and inflammation. There are also auxiliary components added to Nise - the composition includes:
- calcium hydrogen phosphate;
- corn starch;
- microcrystalline cellulose type 114;
- sodium carboxymethyl starch;
- magnesium stearate;
- colloidal silicon dioxide;
- purified talc.
Nise tablets - what helps?
The pharmacological agent in question is prescribed only for symptomatic therapy; it does not affect the causes of the disease and its course. Nise tablets – indications for use:
- toothache and headache;
- pain in the postoperative period;
- arthralgia;
- post-traumatic pain;
- inflammation of soft tissues, tendons and ligaments;
- myalgia of rheumatic and other origins;
- febrile syndrome;
- neuralgia.
Medical studies have shown that nimesulide not only eliminates pain, swelling and inflammation, but also prevents damage to cartilage tissue and stops the destruction of collagen. Thanks to this action, there are a number of musculoskeletal pathologies for which Nise is also effective, the indications for use of which are as follows:
- articular syndrome during gouty exacerbations;
- rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis;
- ankylosing spondylitis;
- radicular syndrome;
- osteoarthritis;
- tenosynovitis;
- spinal pain due to scoliosis and other diseases;
- osteoarthritis;
- tendinitis;
- radiculitis;
- pain due to osteoporosis.
How to take Nise tablets?
The presented drug acts quickly and effectively, but it is important to follow the recommendations for its use. It is advisable to first consult with a doctor before taking Nise - using the medicine in the wrong dosage can cause negative side effects. Additionally, it is necessary to clarify the duration of the therapeutic course.

The described medication is prescribed mainly to adults. Adolescents over 12 years of age with a body weight of 40 kg or more can take Nise tablets in the standard dosage of 100 mg. If the weight is less, the amount of nimesulide is calculated at 3-5 mg per 1 kg. The drug in question is not prescribed to children under 3 years of age. If the child has reached the specified age, it is allowed to use dispersible Nise - tablets for children that dissolve in water. They are available in a dosage of 50 mg of the active ingredient in each pill.
How to take Nise for toothache?
An anti-inflammatory agent based on nimesulide is used to relieve discomfort before and after dental procedures. In these situations, Nise is prescribed according to the classical scheme - tablets for toothache are taken 2 times a day, 1 piece (100 mg). The maximum daily dosage is 200 mg. Experts advise taking pills before meals, but if you experience discomfort in the stomach or intestines, it is better to use Nise tablets after a meal. The duration of the course is calculated individually, but should not exceed 15 days.
How to take Nise for osteochondrosis?
Back pain, inflammation and swelling are also effectively relieved by nimesulide. If osteochondrosis relapses, the standard method of taking Nise is prescribed - 100 mg 2 times a day. Similarly, tablets are used for symptomatic treatment of other musculoskeletal pathologies with pain syndrome. The duration of treatment is determined depending on the severity of clinical signs, mainly 7-12 days.
The presented pharmacological remedy helps with the problem in question, but not always. Nise painkillers are recommended only if an attack occurs against the background of:
- increased body temperature;
- inflammatory processes, for example, meningitis;
- tension;
- overwork;
- stress;
- lack of sleep;
- changes in weather conditions;
- toothache;
- blows and bruises;
- surgical interventions;
- medical procedures;
- noise;
- blood pressure surges;
- osteochondrosis;
- pinched nerve roots and other factors.

Nise tablets are ineffective if the cause of the pain syndrome is. In this case, no anti-inflammatory non-steroidal medications will help. For migraine attacks, it is better to take medications that have a direct effect directly on the dilated blood vessels in the brain and block the sensitivity of the trigeminal nerve receptors. These medications include triptans.
How long does the Nise tablet last?
The duration of the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect depends on the nature of the discomfort, its intensity and cause. Nise 100 mg tablets block discomfort for 0.5 days. The degree of pain relief gradually decreases, because nimesulide begins to be eliminated from the body after 2-5 hours. The maximum analgesic effect is observed 20-25 minutes after taking the tablet.
How many times a day can I take Nise?
The recommended frequency of use of the medication in question is limited to two times. In extremely rare situations, the doctor may allow you to take Nise tablets more often - the use of an anti-inflammatory drug is allowed in a maximum daily dosage of 400 mg. Exceptional cases when nimesulide is prescribed 4 times a day occur in surgical practice. After some operations, the severity of the pain syndrome is too intense, and in order to avoid a state of shock, the analgesic will be used in an increased dose.
How long can you take Nise tablets?
The duration of symptomatic therapy should correspond to the specific situation. Only a specialist decides how many days Nise can be taken. The maximum recommended duration of treatment is 15 days. More often, nimesulide is used until swelling and signs of inflammation disappear - 7-10 days or less. For headaches, menstrual pain, and toothache, the medication is used for 2-3 days or once.
Can Nise be taken with alcohol?
There are no direct instructions regarding the simultaneous use of nimesulide and the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Nise tablets help with headaches and fever associated with a hangover, quickly and effectively relieving the condition. Doctors just do not recommend using the described drug in parallel with strong drinks and on the eve of parties. Nise and alcohol are poorly compatible, because ethanol can retain fluid in the body. Along with it, nimesulide accumulates in the digestive system, which can provoke dangerous consequences.

pharmachologic effect
NSAIDs. Selective inhibitor of COX-2 - an enzyme involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins - mediators of edema, inflammation and pain. The drug has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.
Reversibly inhibits the formation of prostaglandin E 2, both at the site of inflammation and in the ascending pathways of the nociceptive system, including the pathways of pain impulses in the spinal cord.
Reduces the concentration of short-lived prostaglandin H2, from which prostaglandin E2 is formed under the action of prostaglandin isomerase. A decrease in the concentration of prostaglandin E 2 leads to a decrease in the degree of activation of EP-type prostanoid receptors, which is expressed in analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.
It has a slight effect on COX-1 and practically does not interfere with the formation of prostaglandin E 2 from arachidonic acid under physiological conditions, thereby reducing the number of side effects of the drug.
The drug suppresses platelet aggregation by inhibiting the synthesis of endoperoxides and thromboxane A2, and inhibits the synthesis of platelet aggregation factor. Suppresses the release of histamine and also reduces the degree of bronchospasm caused by exposure to histamine and acetaldehyde.
The drug also inhibits the release of tumor necrosis factor alpha, which causes the formation of cytokines.
It has been shown that nimesulide is able to suppress the synthesis of interleukin-6 and urokinase, thereby preventing the destruction of cartilage tissue. Inhibits the synthesis of metalloproteases (elastase, collagenase), preventing the destruction of proteoglycans and collagen of cartilage tissue.
It has antioxidant properties and inhibits the formation of toxic oxygen breakdown products by reducing the activity of myeloperoxidase. Interacts with glucocorticoid receptors, activating them through phosphorylation, which also enhances the anti-inflammatory effect of the drug.
When applied topically, it causes a weakening or disappearance of pain at the site of application of the gel, incl. pain in the joints at rest and during movement, reduces morning stiffness and swelling of the joints. Helps increase range of motion.
Pharmacokinetics
Suction
After oral administration, nimesulide is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Eating reduces the rate of absorption without affecting its extent. Cmax of nimesulide in the blood is achieved 1.5-2.5 hours after administration and is 3.5-6.5 mg/l. Subject to first pass effect through the liver.
Distribution
Binding to plasma proteins is 95%, to erythrocytes - 2%, to lipoproteins - 1%, to acidic α 1 -glycoproteins - 1%. The dose of the drug does not affect the degree of binding to blood proteins.
Vd is 0.19-0.35 l/kg. Penetrates into the tissues of the female genital organs, where after a single dose the concentration of nimesulide is about 40% of the concentration in plasma. Penetrates well into the acidic environment of the inflammation site (40%) and synovial fluid (43%). Easily penetrates histo-hematological barriers.
Metabolism
Nimesulide is actively metabolized in the liver by tissue monooxygenases. The main metabolite, 4-hydroxynimesulide (25%), has similar pharmacological activity.
Removal
T1/2 - 1.56-4.95 hours, T1/2 4-hydroxynimesulide - 2.89-4.78 hours. The metabolite is excreted by the kidneys (65%) and bile (35%).

Children are allowed to give tablets no earlier than 12 years of age. The dosage of tablets for adolescents over 12 years of age is similar to the adult dosage.
Regardless of the purpose for which Nise is used, the dosage of tablets should not exceed 2 times a day, 100 mg each. The interval between subsequent uses of the tablets should be 10-12 hours. If necessary, the dosage of tablets can be increased to 400 mg per day, but according to the individual prescription of a specialist.
The duration of treatment depends on the symptoms. If the doctor prescribed antibiotics after using Nise, then there is no need for its further use. In order to relieve pain syndromes, the duration of taking Nise can last up to several weeks.
It is important to know! Before using the tablets, be sure to consult a specialist and make sure that they are taken rationally.
Nise dispersible tablets
Soluble tablets are used both during and after eating food. Taking the drug before meals is contraindicated, as this may contribute to the occurrence of side symptoms. Application features include the need to dissolve the tablet. To do this, the tablet should be placed in water, the amount of which should be equal to a teaspoon. After dissolving the tablet, the resulting solution should be drunk without drinking water or other drinks.
The manufacturer recommends giving soluble tablets to children aged 3 years and older. For children over 12 years of age, the dosage for soluble tablets is 100 mg 2 times a day. From the age of 12, the maximum dosage can be 400 mg per day. For children from 3 to 12 years old, the dosage is calculated individually, according to the child’s body weight. Per 1 kg of body weight, 3-5 mg of the drug is required. The resulting dosage is divided into 2-3 doses per day.
It is important to know! It is necessary to dissolve tablets, the packaging of which has the appropriate inscription - dispersible. Regular tablets cannot be dissolved, so they must be taken whole.
Suspension Nise
Nise suspension is used before meals, but it must be monitored so that no side symptoms occur. If signs of nausea and stomach pain occur, then it is better to switch to using the suspension after a meal. Before giving the suspension to the child, the bottle with its contents should be shaken thoroughly. After the contents of the bottle become a homogeneous consistency, you need to take the product into a special measuring cup and then take it orally. If the need arises, the suspension can be washed down with water. The suspension contains flavorings, so children willingly take this drug.
The dosage of the suspension is used for children from 2 months of age. The medicine can be used in the following doses:
- For children in the age group from 2 months to 2 years, the dosage can be calculated based on body weight. In this case, per 1 kg of weight there is no more than 1.5 mg of the drug. The resulting value, for example, for a baby weighing 10 kg requires 15 mg of the drug, is the daily norm. It is recommended to divide this amount into 2-3 doses or give it once.
- In the age group from 2 to 5 years, it is allowed to give Nise in a volume of 2.5 ml 2-3 times a day.
- For children over 5 years old and under 12 years old, it is allowed to give a suspension of 5 ml 2-3 times a day.
- For children over 12 years of age, it is allowed to use the medication in an adult dosage, that is, 100 mg 2 times a day.
It is important to know! If a mother gives her child Nise suspension, she must first read the instructions for use. Despite the fact that the drug is allowed to be used even by children from 2 months, it is highly not recommended to do this without the prescription of a specialist.
The use of Nise suspension is contraindicated in patients who have signs of diabetes mellitus. In difficult situations, you can resort to taking Nise in the form of a suspension for 10 days.
Ointment Nise
Is it possible to use Nise ointment for a child? This release form is also suitable for use in children, but only if there are appropriate indications. It is impossible to bring down the fever with the help of Nise ointment or gel, since this form of release is intended to relieve pain syndromes that occur with ailments such as osteochondrosis, arthritis, polyarthritis and others.
It is forbidden to smear open wounds, as this may precede the occurrence of side symptoms. For one-time use, you need to squeeze 3 cm of gel out of the tube. The gel cannot be rubbed into the skin, so it should be evenly distributed over the surface of the skin. After 1-2 minutes, you can begin to apply a gauze bandage. The gel can be used no more than 3-4 times a day. The duration of use of the gel depends on obtaining positive results.
It is important to know! If you rub the gel into the skin, it can cause a burn. It is not recommended to prescribe the medication to children under 7 years of age due to the fact that children's skin is susceptible to the negative effects of the medication.
Overdose and side symptoms
If a mother gives her child Nise medicine in a dosage greater than prescribed, then you should definitely call a doctor. An overdose of the drug is not permissible, since in almost all cases the following side symptoms occur:
- Development of symptoms of nausea and vomiting.
- Drowsiness and apathy.
- Impaired kidney function.
- The appearance of signs of a convulsive state.
- Gastrointestinal disorder.
- Bleeding in the stomach and intestines.
To eliminate signs of overdose, it is necessary to cleanse the stomach with an enema. In addition, you should take medications such as Enterosgel, Polyphepan, Polysorb, as well as laxatives.
It is important to know! Adverse symptoms may occur due to prolonged use of the drug. Giving your child Nise for longer than prescribed by the doctor is strictly prohibited.
Application of Nise on temperature
Nise is one of the best medications that not only relieves symptoms of pain, but also helps reduce high fever. After taking the medication, an effective decrease in high temperature to normal values is observed. An important advantage of Nise in reducing extreme heat is that it is able to actively maintain the temperature for a sufficiently long period of time.
Pediatricians do not recommend using Nise for children in order to reduce the temperature at a level with such safe antipyretics as Viburcol, Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. This is due to the fact that high efficiency hides a whole list of side symptoms, which can occur not only with overdoses.
Nise is used only when antipyretics such as Ibuprofen and Paracetamol are ineffective. At the same time, do not forget that you should initially consult a specialist. If the doctor does not recommend giving your child Nise, then you should listen to him.
It is important to know! In most countries, particularly in Europe, preparations containing nimesulide are prohibited for use in children under 12 years of age. In the Russian Federation, this drug is approved for use, but only if there are appropriate indications.
Contraindications for the use of Nise
There are a number of contraindications, in the presence of which it is strictly prohibited to resort to prescribing the drug Nise. A complete list of contraindications can be found in the instructions for one or another form of release of the drug. Below are the main types of contraindications, if any of which are detected, Nise should be excluded.
It is prohibited to use Nise in tablets and suspensions for the following ailments:
- Excessive sensitivity to one of the components of the drug.
- Bronchial asthma.
- Gastrointestinal diseases.
- Blood clotting disorders.
- Kidney and liver failure.
- Exacerbation of intestinal diseases.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
These are the main contraindications, in the presence of which you should stop taking Nise. Otherwise, taking the drug can lead not only to the development of side symptoms, but also to death. It is especially important to take into account all contraindications in children, since there are many cases of deaths when parents gave their children the drug Nise the day before. Autopsies performed after deaths in children showed the presence of meningitis, pneumonia, hepatitis, nephritis and carditis.
What does this indicate? This suggests that after the use of antipyretics without special need, there are signs of selective inhibition of prostaglandins. This means that after taking Nise at a high temperature, a decrease in fever is observed, but a beneficial environment for the proliferation of various pathogenic microorganisms is automatically created. When parents lower a child’s temperature, which has not reached 39 degrees, they must be aware of the consequences. After taking Nise, the child really feels better, but at the same time, active reproduction of various pests begins in his body.
It is important to know! If you do not provide appropriate treatment, but only relieve pain symptoms, then the result of such “treatment” can be fatal.
Nise can be replaced with analogues, but before using the drug, you should definitely familiarize yourself with its composition and features of use.
